However with the show you know who the voice is and you even know that the enemy you fight isn't even that bad of guy. Without the show, it's just a voice guiding you through a building and an optional enemy fight depending on the choices you made. Those could totally be skipped and the only thing you'd really lose (aside from some characterization of Paul Serene and Martin Hatch) is the details of two characters who show up in the last act of the game.
